About Me

BB Nickell has always been captivated by the question: What makes us who we are?

With a degree in Behavioral Health Sciences and a background in child welfare, social services, and domestic violence advocacy, BB has spent much of her life seeking to understand people—their struggles, their resilience, and the experiences that shape them.

Those experiences, along with caring for loved ones, raising a neurodivergent child, and exploring the worlds created through music, games, and imagination, have influenced the stories she tells.

A lifelong lover of creativity, BB enjoys playing piano, flute, and oboe, as well as adventuring through fantasy worlds in tabletop and video games.

Through the KOLAHNI series, BB Nickell explores the hidden forces that shape humanity and invites readers to discover the extraordinary within themselves.
